I'm a licensed psychotherapist and late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult.
Hey. I’m Crystal.
I help others like me reclaim their identity, heal from trauma, and build a life that works for them.
Frequently Asked Questions
What
-
Nope. All sessions are virtual and HIPAA compliant through Zoom or SimplePractice, my electronic medical record software. This means you can join me from anywhere in California or Maine!
-
Sessions are 50 minutes and $200 per session. I keep a limited caseload so as to be fully present with each client, and also accommodate my own AuDHD capacities.
-
I’m an out-of-network provider which means I don’t bill insurance directly. Some clients use their out-of-network benefits for partial or full reimbursement, and I can provide superbill for you to submit to your insurance.
-
We can discuss biweekly (every other week) or group work options. Therapy should meet you where you’re at, logistically and emotionally.
Who
-
I specialize in working with women and queer adults (typically 22-40) who are navigating identity shifts, religious trauma, and late-discovered or suspected neurodivergence (mostly ADHD and/or Autism).
-
It means we aren’t looking to “fix” your brain, we’re looking to learn more about how it works! My approach validates your lived experience and supports self-acceptance rather than conformity.
-
You don’t need to be! Many of my clients come in wondering if they are, or self-identify. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to explore your identity or learn tools to make life work better for your brain.
-
Then you’re in the right place. I help people unpack religious trauma and rebuild a sense of self that isn’t rooted in fear, shame or someone else’s rules. You get to define what wholeness looks like for you.
How
-
The first session is all about getting to know each other. There’s no pressure to share EVERYTHING, but we will touch on what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get out of it, and if we feel like a fit to continue to work together!
-
It varies! It also depends on what kind of work you’re wanting to do. Some clients work with me short-term just to get clarity and tools; others stay longer for deeper identity and trauma work. We will talk about and form your own therapy goals together and pace accordingly.
-
That’s completely fine. My practice is consent-based, which means I will never ask you to talk about something you don’t want to discuss. I always check in with my clients when discussing difficult topics to determine if they’d like to continue or take a break. I will also help you develop tools to stay regulated (not emotionally destroyed), and build safety.
