You’re not broken, and you have all the answers. I’m here to help guide you to them.

Contrary to some popular though, adult autism isn’t trending. The spotlight that social media has put on adult autism and it’s characteristics has largely brought attention to a long-known problem: many adults were misdiagnosed (or not diagnosed at all) as children. Much more is known about autism and how it manifests today than it was 20 years ago, and many adults now find themselves seeking help and discovering neurodivergence may be a part of their neurotype.

So…Am I Autistic?

Clinical Adult Autism Assessments

(these assessments are therapeutic and will be documented through my chosen EHR [electronic health records], Simple Practice. )

Contrary to some popular thought, adult autism isn’t trending. The spotlight that social media has put on adult autism and it’s characteristics has largely brought attention to a long-known problem: many adults were misdiagnosed (or not diagnosed at all) as children. Much more is known about autism and how it manifests today than it was 20 years ago, and many adults now find themselves seeking help and discovering neurodivergence may be a part of their brain type.

In Adult Autism Assessments, I utilize the MIDGAS-2 and SRS-2 as well as other clinical screener assessments you’ll take on your own before our meetings. As someone with AuDHD (Autism [level 1] and ADHD), I aim to make the interviews as productive as possible so I can get the report and recommendation to you as soon as possible.

How much does it cost?

The cost for an Adult Autism Assessment is $800 total; including a written report with recommendations for accommodations. This can.be paid in 2 increments of $400, or $800 at one time. HSA/FSA is accepted.

Clients are billed within 72 hours of services being received - unless other arrangements or payment agreements have been made during the Intake Appointment.

  • I accept debit, credit, and HSA/FSA cards via my online secure payment system.

  • Clients may choose to have services paid for by a third-party such as a family member and this can be established during the Intake Session. Third parties are NOT granted access to clinical information, only information regarding service date, charge, and payment policies.

What’s the Process?

The assessment process is comprised of two appointments:

Initial Intake to gather background and history, as well as review initial assessments taken. This appointment lasts approximately 50-60 minutes.

MIGDAS-2 Interview is 90-120 minutes long. The purpose of the length, in part, is to validate the taxing nature of social interaction that is characteristic of autistic people, as well as to allow time for discussing interests of an intense nature (we want to make sure you aren’t cut off!). During this interview, your partner or parent may join you to provide context and information as well if you’d like.

Report and Recommendations: At the end of our second meeting, I will provide you with an approximate timeline for me to produce your full report, complete with recommendations for accommodations, places to follow up for therapy, and a letter for your employer to request accommodations, if needed.

(this meeting is psychoeducational and NOT therapeutic and will NOT be documented through my EHR [electronic health records], Simple Practice. )

Self-Diagnosis is valid, and this option is for you if you want to discuss your own findings about yourself with a professional and someone with lived AuDHD experience.

How much does it cost?

The cost for an Adult Autism Assessment is $400 total; including a written report with recommendations for accommodations. This can.be paid in 2 increments of $200, or $400 at one time.

Folks who choose this option must pay the invoice sent by Get Psyched within 72 hours of our meeting unless previously discussed.

What’s the Process?

If you’re ready to meet with Crystal, book an appointment below. Meetings are approximately 2 hours long, where we will explore your experiences and traits through a neurodivergent-informed lens. This meeting offers guidance, validation, and resources to help you reflect on whether autism or ADHD may be part of your neurodivergent identity. You’ll leave with a personalized summary and next steps — no formal diagnosis included.

Please note: These services are consultation and not therapy. Insurance is not accepted. Cost for this session and summary is $400. Payment plan available.

Self-Identification Group

(this group is psychoeducational and NOT therapeutic and will NOT be documented through my EHR [electronic health records], Simple Practice. )

If you’re wondering if you might be autistic, but aren’t quite sure, this 4 week virtual group will answer many of your questions about what autism is, what autistic traits are, and whether or not you are autistic. It will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants. This group is for adults (18 and older). It is not a therapy group or a substitute for individual therapy.

What is the cost?

The first round of this group is donation-based. At a typical fee, each session would be $100 ($400 for the entirety of the group.) We ask that you pay whatever you are able to Crystal via Venmo or mailed cash or check. Please do not send donations before the day of our first group meeting. There are no refunds.

If those options are inaccessible, you could donate all or a portion of the fees to a non-profit in support of autistic individuals, such as ASAN or AWN, or a local LGBTQIA+ non-profit organization, such as Benton-Franklin PFLAG.

Participants will not be turned away due to lack of funds. As this is donation-based, $0 is valid. We ask that you individually assess your financial situation, access to resources, and value placed upon the group's content to decide how much to donate for the sessions.

What is expected of participants?

There will be screening tools and assessments for you to fill out (which will be sent to you virtually when you are accepted into the group.) These can be completed any time between your acceptance into the group and the first meeting. Group participants are expected to be respectful of others' identities and experiences. Discussion and questions are encouraged but not required; typed or verbal communication is encouraged during open conversation times. You do not have to disclose your screening and assessment tool scores to other attendees. It is expected that you will attend all sessions (aside from the co-working optional session.) Joining via video is encouraged but not required. We ask that participants are fully clothed and behaviors are considered "safe for work" during the group meetings.

What's the difference between self-identifying as autistic and being diagnosed as autistic?

Medical systems have put up many barriers for individuals seeking clarity around whether they are or aren't autistic. Often you have to wait for many months (if not years) and spend thousands of dollars- this is particularly true for adults, as most insurances do not cover autism evaluations for adults.

At the end of this group, you will likely know whether or not you are autistic. There are pros and cons to being diagnosed as autistic, as well as self-identifying as autistic, which we will discuss in group, but the insight from this group may lead you to seek a diagnosis. People who tend to seek a medical diagnosis are people who would benefit from school/college accommodations and have no other qualifying diagnoses, are on or applying for Disability funds, or have other services they would like to access but need this specific diagnosis. Generally, individuals feel confident self-identifying after working with a skilled facilitator with lived experience.

Do I become a therapy client of Crystal's by attending this group?

No, this is not a therapy group or individual therapy; this is a time-limited educational group. Current or previous clients of Crystal's can enroll in this group. Attending this group does not prevent you from working with Crystal.
